It is crucial to understand the broader dimensions of America’s role at the United Nations and how it corrupts and undermines this international body. The sabotage of the United Nations by the United States has a global impact. Gaza is not the only conflict, and Palestine is not the only genocide in the world.
The US has engineered, manipulated, and organized the United Nations as an instrument of American policy, projecting American power and control globally. The United States uses the UN as a mechanism for domination, not just in Gaza or the Middle East, but worldwide. It has corralled the nations of the world into this system, rigged to ensure American supremacy internationally.
The United States uses the UN as an amplifier to broadcast their power beyond what they could achieve without it. This corruption of the United Nations from its inception has led to a global perception that concepts such as international law, the rule of law, and international peace and security treaties are hollow and hypocritical. No one expects countries to behave in a law-abiding manner anymore, leading to a kind of despotism by the powerful because of the United States’ actions at the UN.
America has consistently shown contempt for the principles in the UN Charter, using these principles only as tools for coercion against countries they deem enemies or rivals, never against themselves. This approach and domination by the United States at the UN has had a deeply corrosive effect on international relations since 1945.
The UN’s Reputation
The UN has a terrible reputation internationally, often seen as incompetent and futile. In conflicts where UN peacekeepers are involved, such as in Congo or other parts of Africa, there are always allegations of abuses, including sexual violence, exploitation, and human trafficking. These actions are associated with UN peacekeepers everywhere they go, making the UN look and act like a criminal syndicate under American control. It doesn’t have to be this way, but the US has made it so.
Funding and Ethics
When discussing the idea of removing the US from the UN, the issue of American funding always comes up. People worry about what the UN will do without this funding. However, it is important to recognize that American funding has been used to maintain the UN under their control, funding crimes and abuses. No one talks about the ethical implications of this funding.
Perhaps without American funding, the UN could operate ethically, morally, and legally, in conformity with global consensus. Removing American funding is not a problem any more than stopping bribery and hush money is a problem. The UN might actually function better without it.
